Frustrated with attempts to translate a doubly-curved 3D model into a physical (museum board) model, I decided to explore the possiblities of using planar sheets stacked against each other with the intention of being able to realize a physical object. I wanted to explore what was possible using solely planar materials. Developed this concept which used a parametric model, defined by planar elements which rotated and leaned against each other, which through a series of boolean cuts and geometric translations resulted in a morning and evening space.
